What is a Wanted ad?

A Wanted ad is a way to find an item you want without doing any searching. When you place a Wanted ad, other users of MrBuyGuy.com will see it. If one of them has the item you’re looking for, they’ll contact you and the two of you can arrange a sale. Placing a Wanted ad makes shopping simple and hassle-free.

How can I share my feedback on a transaction?

You can share feedback by filling out a Feedback Form after you complete the transaction. 

I can't find the item I listed. Where is it?

Listings are not searchable until 24 hours after they are placed.

Ttry one of these methods to find your listing. 

  • View the listing in your dashboard. 
  • Search by seller, using Advanced Seach.
  • Search by item number, using Advanced Search. Your confirmation email from MrBuyGuy will state your item number.

 

How can I find a MrBuyGuy store?

To find a store, use MrBuyGuy’s Advanced Search function.

Click on the down arrow next to the magnifying glass, and then click on A MrBuyGuy Store.

You will then be able to search for a particular Store.

Can I withdraw my listing?

 Whether or not you can withdraw  a listing before it expires depends on the type of listing and, if it is a General Listing with a reserve, whether  the reserve has been met or not. 

You can withdraw a general listing before it expires, up to an hour before expiration. If you withdraw within an hour after placing the listing, MrBuyGuy will refund all of your listing and promotional fees. After the first hour, you may have to pay an additional fee to withdraw your listing.

You may withdraw a classified listing at any time. There is no fee for withdrawing a classified listing.

Whenever you withdraw a listing, you must state a reason for the withdrawal. If you make repeated withdrawals that MrBuyGuy considers unjustified, your account my be suspended.

How can I find a MrBuyGuy member?

To find a member (Shopaholic), use MrBuyGuy’s Advanced Search function.

Click on the down arrow next to the magnifying glass, and then click on A MrBuyGuy Shopaholic.

You will then be able to search for a particular Shopaholic.

Why can't I log in?

If you can't log in to MrBuyGuy.com, you may be using the wrong username, email address or password, or your cookies may be disabled.

Wrong username, email, address or password

If you enter a wrong username, email address or password, you'll see an error message. If you forgot your password, ask for a password reset. MrBuyGuy will email you with information on how to reset your password.

Cookies disabled

A cookie is a small file that is stored in your computer. Cookies let you log in to websites and allow the websites to work effectively. If your cookies are disabled, you may not be able to log in to MrBuyGuy or use the site correctly. 

Your cookies are controlled by your browser. You can enable cookies by changing your browser preferences. Below, you will find where to go to control cookies on the most common browsers:

Cookies can be affected by a firewall, which can prevent your cookie information from being sent to a website, and by browsing acceleration software, which sometimes removes cookie data.

How do I update my default payment methods?

The first time you place a listing on MrBuyGuy you will be prompted to set your default payment methods. 

MrBuyGuy offers the following payment methods when selling an auction:

  • Paypal
  • Google checkout
  • Direct deposit
  • cash
  • cheque

The first time you sell on MrBuyGuy you will be able to select which payment methods you would like to offer.  Once done listing on MrBuyGuy, these methods will be available for you to select.  If you would like to update these default paymentmethods - for example change the email address of your Paypal account or update your bank account details - simply login to MrBuyGuy click on the my account link on the top header of the website and click on the account tab.  Under the information section on the left hand side, click on the payment methods option.  Your default payment methods will now be updated.

How can I protect myself from phishing attacks?

To protect yourself from phishing attacks, never open suspicious emails, especially ones asking for personal information like a username, password or credit card details.

MrBuyGuy uses sophisticated systems to keep your personal details safe. We will never send you an email asking for your personal information or phone you and ask for personal details. Be careful if anyone emails you or calls you and says they work for MrBuyGuy.

The MrBuyGuy Administrator is the only person at MrBuyGuy.com who will send you messages.

Where can I view my account information?

 You can view your account information by going to your Dashboard, which you can access when you log in or by clicking My Account at the top of any page.
